Talks on the table to halt Council’s planned ‘outdoor dining charge’

An ‘outdoor dining charge’ proposed in Inner West Council’s latest budget is due to commence in July 2018. This could potentially affect our popular cafes and restaurants along Marrickville and Illawarra roads.

The Chamber recognises the importance of outdoor dining to our local businesses and their customers. We are committed to keeping outdoor dining free and available for our community.

So, we are currently in talks with Inner West Council to advocate for outdoor dining to remain free of charge, as it has been for the last number of years.
